University Resources
IT Services manage 26 bookable teaching laboratories on the John Anderson campus, 24 with PCs, 2 with Unix workstations. In addition, non-bookable laboratories are available in the University library and Curran Building. Two of the PC teaching laboratories, containing 8 and 40 workstations respectively, are located within the Mathematics department.
The University is also part of the ClydeNET Metropoliton Area Network, providing high capacity data networking among several universities in the Glasgow area.
Departmental Resources
Every student has access to a Linux workstation in their office. Peripheral equipment available includes several black & white and colour laser printers, scanners, data projectors, a camcorder, loan notebooks, a voice recorder and a digital camera.
Older computers, when available, are lent to final year students for home use to help them in writing their thesis.
