Basic Mathematics - An Introduction

Basic Mathematics has been developed from a book produced by the Department of Mathematics at the University of Strathclyde.

The book, distributed to all first year students attending mathematics-based courses, was designed as a revision aid to explain the basic level of mathematics required by students.

Through the use of a comprehensive menu and numerous internal hypertext links, Basic Mathematics builds on the flexibility of the original book. In addition - and impossible in a book - animated exercises and examples have also been included.
