Biography
I graduated from the University of Glasgow (external link), firstly with a degree in chemistry (external link), and then a year later with an MSc in Information Technology (external link).
After graduating in 2001 I worked for thirteen months in Linlithgow at Sun Microsystems' (external link) Remote Monitoring Center designing mission critical web-database applications.
Currently I'm a Computer (Web Development) Officer for the departments of Mathematics and Statistics and Pure and Applied Chemistry (external link) at the University of Strathclyde (external link), working on packages for the SPIDER (external link) Virtual Learning Environment, interactive teaching sites for undergraduate courses, and websites such as this one.
Other interests include playing cricket for Glasgow Accies (external link), where I captained the 1XI for four seasons, badminton not as many lunchtimes as I should, and the occaisional game of squash.
During the winter I spend most Saturdays following Partick Thistle (external link) up and down the country.
