Description
Historical perspective, engineering in relation to science, technology, invention, management, economics, wealth, energy and marketing.
Engineering methodology, design processes, production, costing, quality assurance, organisation and management, the professional engineer, Engineering Council, professional ethics.
In the first half the role and functions of the engineer, especially with regard to 'design', are identified. The final half reviews 'case studies' from a wide variety of engineering topics.
