Essential Prerequisites

SQA Higher Mathematics or Physics

Description

Electrical quantities: charge, current voltage, power and circuit elements; resistance, capacitance and inductance. Circuit analysis; Kirchhoff, Thevenin and Norton Theorems including dependent sources.

Basic operational amplifier model: calculation of voltage, current and power gains. Sinusoidal and periodic sources: ac circuit analysis; phasors, impedance, power, resonance, frequency response. Illustrated using power distribution and operational amplifier systems.
